The hotel was in a marvellous and awesome position close enough to the white sand beach, Dolphin House Moalboal and the cove. The room was spotless and wonderful and the view of the sea was exceptional. Overall the staff was wonderful and awesome...

the room met needs well, it was well-equipped with the bar, a huge tropical garden, for example. this was a magnificent and lovely location near waterfalls in the area too, airport, and the restaurant.
Not one thing.

The reef just in front of the resort is teeming with marine life, making it a fantastic diving spot.
The rooms are situated above the busy reception and restaurant kitchen, which can create quite a bit of noise during the night.

Fine sunsets, relaxing days
Dolphin House Resort is a hidden gem in Moalboal, where the amazing ocean views are matched by a lively reef just steps away. The staff's attentiveness. The dive center on-site offers an excellent experience for both newcomers and seasoned divers alike, with well-maintained equipment. Each morning, we were greeted with a delicious breakfast that was great. Cleaning our plates became the norm! The lush gardens and serene pool area added to the overall paradise vibe.
We did encounter some drawbacks. The Double Room lacked privacy due to the shared balcony and proximity to the restaurant kitchen, which resulted in increased noise during early mornings. The air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool during the hotter afternoons. Lastly, the path to the nearby white sand beach felt a bit treacherous at night, potentially intimidating not prepared for it. A further note on the meal pricing-while the food was fantastic, it may be somewhat over budget for extended stays.

The reception closing at 6pm was an absolute disaster, leaving us stranded. I would expect more from a hotel, honestly! Then there was the so-called private beach, just a jagged-cliff nightmare to stumble into. To top it off, no complimentary gesture for my inconvenience! I was ready to give a glowing review, but just couldn't.

missingWrote a review on 16 Octdining restrictions
The reception shuts down at 6 PM, leaving no one available for assistance after hours. Access to the gym also ends at this time, meaning workouts get sidelined. The rocky path to the nearby beach is a real hike, which dampens the overall beach experience. Breakfast could use some hygiene improvements, particularly with unwanted guests like flies and ants invading the fresh fruit and tea area.

beautiful resort but limited dining options
The view of the ocean from the room is fine. The sunsets are unparalleled. The staff members were friendly, always available to assist with any inquiries or needs. I particularly appreciated the well-maintained garden area, a peaceful spot that enhanced my stay.
The restaurant's menu felt somewhat restricted, limiting choices for those staying multiple nights.

Friendly staff, private beach access. No clean towels at the pool, surprising for a resort.

Chill vibes but needs some work
The location is super peaceful. I loved the snorkelling, the water was so clear! The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant had great food, but the options were kinda limited. It was a bit of a hassle getting into town since it's a good 6km away. Comfy stay though.

the first night was a bit concerning (with red bumps! ), but the dive instructor really made our time special! ! the food was often a highlight, especially the ostrich steak, and the complimentary breakfast sandwiches were such a nice touch.
